Photo-based design interaction in Wal-Mart making customers aware of their mission and achievements. The images of the smiling happy people are an attempt to connect to the average citizen, the typical customer that shops at Wal-Mart, which would be like me...looking for convenient, cheap items.
The cover of a Mary Kay magazine, the photo is of a beautiful woman, obviously directing the product toward their audience of women with insecurities.
I found this in a Men's Fitness magazine, the audience can be both men and women (seeing as women tend to buy colone for their significant others). The image of the "sailor" could give a message of clean and fresh, possibly hinting at the scent....(I didn't smell the sample card, but I can infer).
The colors are light, white, which implies absence of color and also plays at the idea of no calories. The clean blue is enticing an fresh. All they need to say is "The Zero Calorie Sports Drink" because really, how many sports drinks are zero calories?
Donnie Darko. Awesome movie, awesome cover. The image gives a sort of mystery since it really doesn't connect to the movie in any specific instance. I suppose the idea is the dissection of Donnie Darko, and the movie requires a lot of attention and dissection in itself.
